From Bonnewitz catalog, 1927: OLYMPUS (Perry). S. cream suffused very light pink-lilac; F. rich red-purple of excellent size and shape, shading to silvery lilac at edge; beard, medium yellow. The bloom, when first opened, bears very little resemblance to the flower after it is open twenty-four hours. Similar to Abenda. Very profuse bloomer; distinctive. Flower above the average in size. Early. Height 40 inches. $2.50.
From Sam Carpenter Garden catalog, 1927: OLYMPUS (Perry 1923) - A variety with large heavily built flowers, which are produced freely on stout branching stems; S. broad, incurved, rose overlaid soft bronze; massive. F. over 2-inches broad, madder-crimson, heavily reticulated white at base. $3.00.
