'Orange Splendor' (James Gibson, R. 1976) Seedling# 60-2B. TB, 36" (91 cm). Late midseason bloom. Fluted and laced Spanish orange self; beard persimmon orange over exotically penciled deep brown base. 'Christie Anne' X 'Orange Plush'. Gibson 1977. Honorable Mention 1979.

ORANGE SPLENDOR (1977). TB, ML, 36", #60-2B. $25.00. This crisp, rich, vibrant Spanish orange self (an intensive peach orange) boasts a perfectly formed flower with a sturdy 36" stem. Bud count 8+ with 5½"x7" blossom size. The edges of the standards and falls are pleasingly rippled and laced. The beard is persimmon orange over an exotic penciled deep brown at base. This aristocrat is a real show off. Christie Anne X Orange Plush. Gibson’s Iris Gardens.
