1970, Rudolph

'Orchid Tapestry' (Nate Rudolph, R. 1965). TB, 30" (76 cm), Early midseason bloom. Color Class-RV1L, Orchid-pink self, close to Wilson 632/2; falls lighter in center. Seedling# 63-10 (Fay seedling# 56-06, sibling to 'Arctic Flame', x seedling# 59-31) x seedling# 61-43 X seedling# 61-59, involving 'Rippling Waters'. Rudolph 1970. Honorable Mention 1972.

From AIS Bulletin #197 April 1970 Introducing ORCHID TAPESTRY (Rudolph '70) $25.00. No. 65-33 (63-10 X 61-59: (Fay 56-06 X 59-31: (Fleeta X 55-55: (53-23 X May Hall). Early, 30". A clear medium orchid self RHS 78jD. The nicely ruffled blossoms have a lighter area at the center of the wide flaring falls. Five well-spaced branches with ten buds. Very fragrant. Fertile both ways. Lakelawn Gardens.
