From Carl Salbach catalog 1946: PAINTED DESERT (Milliken 1943). We give herewith the originator's description: "A flower which has brought to life the brilliant coloring of part of the Arizona mesa." With us the colors are soft buff tan; suffusion of brown at haft, violet midribs in standards and dash of violet on upper pa·rt of falls. Early mid-season. 48". Stock limited. $15.00.
