ORIGINAL CATALOG DESCRIPTION:

Paradise Pink.1950.Lapham.png

From Iris Test Garden Catalog, 1955: PARADISE PINK. (Lapham, 1950). H.M., 1950. A.I.S. This is Mr. Lapham's pinkest tangerine bearded iris. The color is clear and clean with no markings. The flower is beautifully formed, somewhat ruffled with heavy substance. The well-balanced 5-inch bloom is carried on well-branched 32 inch stalks. A pink of real garden value as to color and resistance to sun, wind and rain. Spicy fragrance. Late. Award Merit 1952. $3.50.

"Paradise Pink, while still not the ultimate in smoothness and substance, struck me as the most intensely pink in garden effect among the tangerine beards so far introduced. It has the carrying quality of 'Courtier', and much better form." John Dolman, Jr. (Pennsylvania), “From Aldan to Walden and Points North, Varieties Noted in 1951,” The Bulletin of the American Iris Society, No. 123, (October 1951): 15.
