From Tell’s Iris Gardens catalog,1959: PARTY PETTICOATS (Luzon Crosby.) Early to Late. 40 inches. (Snow Flurry x Gold Ruffles) X (Little Sweetheart.) Ruffles and more ruffles make this medium-sized white flower extraordinarily beautiful. Actually the flowers are a little small for the height of the well-branched stalk, but the charm of the flowers both in the garden and in arrangements is unmatched. We feel PARTY PETTICOATS will make an ideal parent for ruffled flowers, blues, whites, possibly pinks, yellows, creams and could be used in a program for border iris if bred to such things as Moon Talk, Yellow Dresden, Golden Flash, Two Bits, Rosedale, Little Cottage, etc. No.C56-45. $20.00 |
