Millet et Fils, irises and new peonies 1930-1931, p. 6. |
Paulette: (Millet). A huge lavender blue but so far have failed to see the branching as advertised. Attracts much attention in the garden. [Belsley, Ray J., Varietal Comments. Bulletin of the American Iris Society 74 (July 1939), 18.] |
I would get PAULETTE again, although it looks lavender now in comparison with some of the new blues, because I would still want at least one of the giant iris, and it is a little bit more dependable than 'EL CAPITAN'. [Wills, Jesse, (1943). Older Iris I would Buy Again, American Iris Society Bulletin, 89(April 1943), 13.] |
