1981, Roderick

'Pleated Gown' (Elvan Roderick, R. 1979). Seedling# Y7701. TB, 34" (86 cm). Late bloom. Standards medium yellow; falls light yellow with heavy pleating and ruffling; yellow-tipped beard. 'Mellow Yellow' X 'Mount Spokane'. Roderick 1981. High Commendation 1980 (under name); Favorite Guest 1982; Honorable Mention 1983; Award of Merit 1985.

From AIS Bulletin #241 April 1981 Introducing PLEATED GOWN-TB, 34", ML (Roderick '81). $25.00. Medium yellow standards with heavily pleated and ruffled white falls, yellow beards and hafts. Extra strong, well-branched stalks with 7 buds. Charmingly beautiful. No. Y7701: (Mellow Yellow X Mount Spokane). HC 1980. Roderick Iris Garden.
