From Cooley's Wholesale pricelist, 1932: PLUIE D'OR. A beautiful iris, on slender, perfectly branched stalks well over three feet tall. Fine rounded flowers of solid golden yellow, with deep yellow beard. Winner of the Dykes medal in France, it has proven an outstanding variety of this color both in Europe and America. Wherever I went last spring I found hybridizers at work with crosses from this variety, an indication of the regard in which it is held by our foremost introducers. Each $5.00; three for $13.50; ten for $40.00. Large stock permits this very low price.
