In 1927 Toedt catalog it is listed as; Colonial Dame (Sass-Toedt). Last summer I bought the entire stock of this variety, formerly known as Seedling No.51, from Mr. H. P. Sass. A picata of unusual beauty. A pure white, finely veined and stippled with pinkish lilac. A splendid multiplier and fine for table decorating. Especially beautiful in combination with Villosa lilacs and Marguerite Gerard peonies. Extremely hardy and a good seed bearer. Each 3.00
