1975, Rogers

'Poet's Eye' (Mark Rogers, R. 1974). Seedling# 65-78. TB, 35" (89 cm), Midseason to late bloom. Ruffled mauve lavender with warm apricot glow in heart with age, slightly lighter area around white beard tipped orange. 'September Song' X 'Rippling Waters'. Sierra Vista 1975.

From AIS Bulletin #217 April 1975 Introducing POET'S EYE (Rogers). TB, 35". September Song X Rippling Waters. Mauve-lavender self, taking on a warm apricot glow in the heart as it ages. Orange tipped, white beard. Well-branched stems of quality. Mid to late season. $25.00. Sierra Vista Iris Garden.
