'Port Royal' (Larry Gaulter, R. 1964). Seedling #63-75. TB, 38" (97 cm), Early to midseason bloom. Color Class-W2B, White ground, royal blue stitched edges. 'Latest Love' X 'Rococo'. Mission Bell 1965. Honorable Mention 1967.

From AIS Bulletin #177, April 1965. Introducing PORT ROYAL (Larry Gaulter) M-L 36" Sparkling white ground plicata with deep blue-violet stitching embroidered on the petal edges. An unusually large white area in the standards emphasizes the contrast between the ground color and the markings. A blue tipped beard further accents this contrast. Large ruffled widepetaled blossoms are shown off on strong stalks with many buds and fine branching. Rococo X Latest Love. Sdlg. 63-75. Net $25.00. Mission Bell.
