'Preferred Stock' (Larry Gaulter, R. 1985) Seedling #79-270. TB, 36" (91 cm), Midseason bloom. Lightly ruffled deep golden yellow; deep gold beard. 'Countryman' seedling X 'Lighted Within'. Cooley's Gardens 1985.

"Perhaps this one is preferred because of its extra large and ample number of blooms. The standards are a rich deep yellow color, almost gold, and stand not quite open at the top. Falls are the same hue, very broad and spread out like an umbrella!" [Cooley's Iris catalog for 1985]
