From Glen Road Iris Garden catalog, 1923: PRIMROSE (Sturt. 1923) — The bright clear yellow of the petals enhanced by the yellow styles and orange heard; a flower of size and substance; 30 in. 15.00. |
From Indian Spring Farms catalog, 1927: PRIMROSE (Sturtevant 1923). A beautiful self yellow of clearer, purer tone than Shekinah. The standards are amber-yellow and the falls a lighter barium-yellow, with haft and styles clear lemon-yellow. A very refined and finished flower, a shade lighter than Gold Imperial. 30 inches. $6.00 each. |
