1972, Gatty

'Princess' (Joseph Gatty, R. 1971). Seedling #28-C, TB, 36" (91 cm), Late bloom. Standards pale pink (M&P 9-!-2); falls pinkish cream (9-B-1), shading to color of standards; tangerine-orange beard tipped white. 'Ruffled Valentine' x Rippling Waters'. Keppel 1972. High Commendation 1971; Honorable Mention 1973.

From AIS Bulletin #205 April 1972 Introducing PRINCESS (Gatty) L 36" Ruffled Valentine X Rippling Waters. Royalty in pastel pink, paling to pinkish cream in the falls. Tangerine orange beard tipped white. All petal parts waved, frilled, and edged with fine lace. Three branches plus terminal, seven buds. Delicate looking, but with plenty of substance to stand up to the late-season heat. HC '71. $25.00. Keith Keppel.
