1972, Keppel

'Quietude' (Keith Keppel, R. 1971). Seedling# 65-34A. TB, 34" (86 cm), Early bloom. Standards chicory blue (M&P 42-B-7), deeper at base of midrib; falls slightly paler blue (41-B-6) and overlaid chicory blue; pale blue beard. 'Epic' X 'Brook Song'. Keppel 1972. Honorable Mention 1973.

From AIS Bulletin #205 April 1972 Introducing QUIETUDE (Keppel). E 3411. Epic X Brook Song. A tranquil light chicory blue, deeper at base of standards. Slightly paler falls have a milky "washed" effect. Petal parts gently waved; beard light blue. Three branches plus terminal, eight buds. Given limited distribution last year under number 65-34A. $20.00. Keith Keppel.
