From Carl Salbach catalog 1945: RED AMBER (Loomis 1942). Lovely new iris that should have a special appeal to those who prefer the subdued colors. Standards are a soft shade of jasper pink and falls somewhat darker, almost eugenia red, which is several shades darker than old rose. Blooms of good form and good substance. Well-branched stems. 30" tall with us. Mid-season. $7.50.
From Iris Test Garden Catalog, 1955: RED AMBER. Standards jasper pink flushed amaranth pink. Falls blending of old rose to Eugenia red with copper suffusion. Lovely large flower. $7.50.
