From Longfield Iris Farms catalog, 1949: RELENTLESS (Cook, 1948). A new iris that is a solid deep red with color pure and rich throughout the whole flower, even extending over the hafts; beard cadmium yellow. The flowers are medium large in size with excellent substance and texture. Color does not fade or spot in sun or rain. Mid season-late. 38 inches. Relentless shows more richness and brilliance than any other Iris in this color group. Exceptionally fine. $12.50. |
