1976, Roe

'Rising Sign' (Bernice Roe, R. 1975). Seedling# 22-1. TB, 34" (86 cm), Midseason bloom. Standards smooth blending of rose-pink and lavender with suggestion of yellow at midrib; lavender and tan stylearms; falls same with light yellow shoulders; lemon beard tipped cream. 'Laurie' X 'Sunset Sky'. Pacific Coast Hybridizers 1976.

From AIS Bulletin #221 April 1976 Introducing RISING SIGN (Bernice Roe) is a flower in the tradition of Laurie, but to be expected since it is a child of Laurie X Sunset Sky. From the lovely smooth finish--how do you describe a blending of lavender, lilac, pink and rose?--to the fine, full form, this is a beautiful new variety. It has good branching and double buds. $25.00. Pacific Coast Hybridizers.
