2009, Keppel

'Roaring Twenties' (Keith Keppel, R. 2008). Seedling# 02-162C. TB, 38" (97 cm). Late midseason bloom. Standards putty (M&P 11-B-1/2), heliotrope grey (44-C-3) suffusion at base; style arms putty, lavender midrib; falls blended grapejuice (44-L-10) and imperial purple (45-L-10), ¼" aster violet (44-EF-7) edge, light velvet; beards white tipped rusty orange (4-B-12) to (11-B-12) effect. 'Poem Of Ecstasy' X 'Decadence'. Keppel 2009. Honorable Mention 2011.

Note: Not to be confused with Tb 'Roaring Twenties' by Moldovan, 1965.

From Keppel Iris catalog, 2009: ROARING TWENTIES ML 38" (Poem of Ecstasy X Decadence) Restrained color, unrestrained fancy form. Beige standards flushed heliotrope at base, blended grape juice to imperial purple falls with light velvet texture, plus aster violet edge. Rusty orange beards, white base. Imposing big, wide, deeply and heavily ruffled blooms. #02-162C. $50.00; 3 for $125.00.
