2010/2011, Blyth

'Romantico' (Barry Blyth, R. 2010). Seedling Q12-1. TB, 32" (81 cm), Midseason bloom. Standards pure white, erect, open: style arms white, lacy; falls white, blended lavender edge deepening at hafts; beards vivid tangerine. 'Parisian Dawn' X Keppel seedling 02-169A: ('Hold My Hand' x 'Decadence'). Tempo Two 2010/11.

Hybridizer's comment: The standards are pure white, erect and strong to the point where we can see the stylearms and they are also white and gorgeously ruffled. Falls are white with a blended edge of lavender deepening at the hafts to lavender violet. Beards are vivid tangerine. Even though the standards are not closed as the purists would like, this is a delight and all who have seen it love it. Fertile but not easy.
