'Roméo' (
Millet et Fils, 1912) TB 30". Late midseason bloom. Color Class-Y9M. Diploid From France. Uneven citron yellow standards; Mauve and rich reddish-violet falls with throat striped maroon on white ground. Sometimes found being passed around under the name "Peacock's Eye" or
'Pfauenauge'. Millet et Fils 1912, 1920; Bonnewitz 1920, Antoine Rivoire 1921, Sheets 1928, Barr 1937, 1939; Berry 1938, Katkamier 1939. Variety superseded.
