| ROSE MARIE (Cayeux 1928) L. 38" M.F. Another new color. Standards reddish violet. Falls reddish purple. The falls are almost at right angles to the standards and are beautifully frilled. The color of this iris is very unusual and it is beautifully brought out by the soft creamy throat and delicate cream reticulations on the falls. We regret that we cannot adequately describe it, but we strongly recommend it. (Quality Gardens catalog, 1933) |
