From Milliken Iris Gardens catalog, 1950: ROYAL SCOT (Hall) As bright and gay as a piece of Scotch homespun. This p!icata is so heavily splashed and dotted with burgundy-red that at a distance it gives a red effect. 3 ft. See color illustration on page 21. $1.00; 3 for $2.50.
From Walter Marx Gardens catalog 1955: ROYAL SCOT (Hall 1944) Each .75; 3 for 2.00. Color pattern is similar to that of Firecracker except that the ground color is creamy white instead of yellow. Also grows higher. Striking red effect from a distance. HM 1944.
