The standards are pure pansy purple, Dictionary of Color plate 54. L 8. or Ridgway plate X1], 69 K. The falls are deeper purple of velvety texture, neatly edged with a border of pansy purple. The gold patterned haft adds to the pansy effect. The flowers are of medium size, rather high on the stalk. The plants are very vigorous, hardy andprolific. Per R. 87, 1946. $1.50. |
RUBIENT, No. 4061 from Valor x Winneshiek is a rich pansy purple that we feel will be well liked. It has black velvet falls, edged with the same deep, pansy purple of the standards. Notes from Midwest Breeders, A.I.S. Bulletin 84:54 Jan. 1942. |
