References:

From AIS Bulletin #236 January 1980 Introducing RUSTIC DANCE ('80) M, 87 cm, #65-4C, Plicata. 25.0. A most unusual fancy. Both standards and falls are a red-purple on a yellow ground. The ruffled standards' markings consist of very fine specks evenly distributed over a light yellow ground. The fluted falls have heavier spots and striations on a rich yellow ground. My notes record black showing up in this pattern, but my color slide does not show it. A rich yellow-orange beard adds to this unusual specimen. Like its sib, Queen in Calico, it is a vigorous grower. Gibson Iris Garden.
