'Ruth Porter Waring' (John Durrance, R. 1986). Seedling# 86-19. TB, 33" (84 cm), Midseason to late bloom. Rose red; ruffled and laced falls. 'Mulled Wine' x 'Palmer Leader'. Long's Gardens 1988.

From AIS Bulletin #269 April 1988 Introducing RUTH PORTER WARING (John Durrance) TB 33" ML. Sdlg. 86-19. A brown rose-red self with ruffled & laced falls. Named for Aunt Ruth, a 98 year old lady who is a true garden lover and a long time friend. A loyal supporter of our flower, member of AIS, and lifetime board member of the Denver Botanic Gardens. Her favorite color is red. Mulled Wine X Palmer Leader. $25.00. Long's Gardens.
