1986 , Rudolph

'Salmon Band' (Nate Rudolph, R. 1984). Seedling# 82-02. TB, 34" (86 cm). Early bloom. Standards salmon pink, flushed blue pink; falls white, widely banded salmon, salmon stripe down midrib; salmon beard tipped pink; heavily ruffled and flounced; pronounced spicy fragrance. Seedling# 80-19: (('Lilac Wax' x 'Lemon Crest') x ((('Fringed Taffeta' x 'Pink Angel') x 'Carved Pink') x 'Lemon Crest')) X 'Peach Band'. Klehm Nursery 1986.

From AIS Bulletin #260 January 1986 Introducing SALMON BAND-Sdlg. 82-02: (80-19 X Peach Band). TB, 34", E. Wide, ruffled, upright standards are blue-pink. The 3-1/2" wide falls are white with 1/2" wide salmon band. Very ruffled and flounced. Salmon beards. Four branches, 7 or more buds. Quite fragrant. Fertile both ways. (See inside back cover this Bulletin for color photo). $30.00. Klehm Nursery.
