References

From Wing Seed catalog, 1919: SAMBUCINA (Species.) S. coppery-rose; F. rose-purple, veined darker, with orange crest; style arms old gold. Flowers with the fragrance of the Elder, from which the name is derived. Twenty-seven inches. 15c.
From Bonnewitz catalog 1920: ABDEL KADHIR (Ab-Del-Kader). S. bronze; F. of the same shade, on the under side, as the standards, but so heavily overlaid with extremely dark wine, veined white, that the bronze can scarcely be seen; beard orange. 25 cts, $1.50 a doz.
