From Carl Salbach catalog 1937: SANDALWOOD (Hans Sass 1937.) Another of the very fine set of new Sass Brothers varieties which we are helping to introduce this season. Sandalwood is a very fine coffee colored blend that is greatly enlivened by the yellow undertone and delicate pinkish suffusion. Perhaps better described as a pale bronze with a pink and yellow suffusion. One of the very best of its type. Good branching and habit. Technically - Standards vinaceous tawny, falls army brown. 34-inch. Mid-season. $20.00. |
