From Bay View Gardens catalog,1969: SEANCE., 36 inches, ML. Snow Flurry first introduced us to ruffling and off we happily went to produce the ultimate in ruffled irises. We coined the phrase bubble-ruffling to mean an intense, deep, fluting ruffle, and with SEANCE we reached the pinnacle of this goal. A large, extremely broad, semi-flaring flower with the deepest, most intense bubble ruffling imaginable. We would call the color blue-amethyst, sort of a blue-red-violet color, with the falls slightly redder than the standards. The vigor and substance add to the trace-effect. A stalk of this wilt always be a top contender for Queen of the Show. Limited stock and heavy demand forces a one to a customer limitation. No. 64-252-0: (Sterling Silver X Twilight Sonata). $25.00 |
