| From Iris Test Garden Catalog, 1955: SELAH. (Nelson, 1948). Here is a different color combination, a lovely shade of lavender blue with a glowing gold heart. Leathery substance, well placed flowers, and golden beard. Large flowers about 38 inches tall. 60c.
| Selah (Nelson) is an especially lovely lavender with a clean, bright yellow haft; substance and flower balance fair. Growing over three feet tall, this to the right of pinkish Saluskin (Nelson) and in front of Bird of Dawning (Sass) was a sight to see. [Mathews, Mrs. W. R. (1949). Tall Beardeds in Louisiana, American Iris Society Bulletin 116(January 1950), 60.]
