'Shaft Of Gold' (Neva Sexton, R. 1976). Seedling# 108-69. TB, 36" (91 cm). Midseason bloom. Standards antique gold; falls white, antique gold border, gold plicata markings; gold beard. 'Radiant Apogee' X green plicata seedling. Sexton 1976. Honorable Mention 1978.

From AIS Bulletin #221 April 1976 Introducing SHAFT OF GOLD (Sexton '76). M, 36". Large beautiful form with antique gold stands and gold plicata falls. Antique gold border and gold dust on falls. Gold beard. Well branched stalks with 9 buds per stalk. Sdlg. 108-69. $25.00. Sexton's Iris Garden.
