'Shining Hour' (Chet Tompkins, R. 1955). Seedling# S1-57. TB, 38" (97 cm), Midseason bloom. Golden copper-brown blend. Name transferred from 1954 registration not introduced. 'War Cry' X ('Cedar Rose' x DeForest seedling# 14-43). Fleur de Lis 1955.

From Fleur de Lis Gardens catalog 1956: SHINING HOUR (Tompkins 1955) M. 38 in. War Cry x (Cedar Rose x DeForest 14-43). A blended brown self, this is a deep Chartreuse amber with a deep full undertone of dark Chestnut brown, and rich copper. Large, well formed flowers of great brillianca. 7.50.
