■(TB) 'Showy Lowy'

2011, Spoon

'Showy Lowy' (Donald Spoon, R. 2011). Seedling# 2002-148B. TB, 30" (76 cm). Late midseason bloom. Standards grey-purple (RHS 186C) and tan (161C) blend, darker than falls, yellow (9B) bases; style arms bright yellow, lavender midribs and white stigmatic lips; falls purple-violet (N80C/D) centers, darker purple (180A) veins, tan (161A) shoulders, hafts yellow (6D) with maroon N67B) veins; beards white, hairs tipped yellow-orange (24A); standards closed, flared falls; laced with spines on bubbles; diamond dusted; slight sweet fragrance; 7-8 buds. 'Spring Splendor' X 'Orchid Dove'.
