'Silver Skates' (Ed Roberts, R. 1998). Seedling# 961. TB, 36" (91 cm). Midseason bloom. Standards pale silvery blue; style arms silver; falls white, touch of blue below white beard, aging white; sweet fragrance. 'Sky Search' X 'Honky Tonk Blues'. Superstition 2004. Honorable Mention 2006.

From AIS Bulletin #333 April 2004 Introducing SILVER SKATES (Ed Roberts 2004) TB, 36", M. Seedling # 961. Pale silvery blue standards; white falls with a touch of blue that ages to white; white beard, golden yellow deep in throat. A light reverse bicolor with medium purple base foliage and a sweet fragrance. Vigorous grower bred in Kentucky, this is the third iris we are introducing for Ed. 2 branches and a spur with 7-to-9 buds. Sky Search X Honky Tonk Blues. $45.0D-or-3/$90.00. Superstition Iris Gardens.
