'Spades' (Lesley Painter, R. 2007). Seedling# L99-3B. TB, 36" (91 cm), Midseason bloom. Standards, style arms and falls purple black, Standards glossy, falls velvety; beards dark purple, light purple at end, yellow toward throat; lightly ruffled; slight sweet fragrance. 'Before The Storm' X seedling# L96-64B: (Seedling# 94-1B: ('Best Bet' x 'Twist Of Fate') x 'Tempting Fate'). Napa Country 2008. Honorable Mention 2010. High Commendation 2005.
