From Bay View Gardens catalog,1983: SPECULATOR. 36 inches, mid to late season. $30.00. Bring the gold class to heights not seen before. Magnificently formed, large blooms with substance galore. A brilliant maize-gold self with a dap of lime undertone. Bubble-ruffled with a light dusting of lace. Vigor is weed-like and the floriferousness unsurpassed. We simply don't have enough superlatives for this super creation. No. 78-247N: ((Coffee House x (73-1222: (Hi Top x ((Ponderosa x Travel On) x Peace Offering)) X Well Endowed).
