1963, Austin

'Spooned Flamingo' (Lloyd Austin, R. 1963). Seedling# 65. TB, height 36" (91 cm). Midseason bloom. Color Class-O3P. Standards light coral-pink; falls deeper pink, pink spoons at ends of bright tangerine beard. 'Happy Birthday' X 'Lemon Spoon'. Rainbow 1963.

From Rainbow Hybridizing Gardens catalog 1964: FRINGED ROSE (Austin '63) ML-35". A rose pink, nearly a self, but falls slightly deeper. Heavily frilled or fringed pink spoons at ends of heavy orange beards. Falls semiflaring. Fertile. Horned Skylark X Ruffled Apache. Regularly $20.00; on $25 order $7.95; 3 for $20.25.
