1992, Hamblen

'Spring Concerto' (Melba Hamblen, R. 1991). Seedling# 85-19D. TB, 34" (86 cm). Late midseason bloom. Standards pink purple (RHS 75A), deepening toward hafts; falls violet (82B), deeper lacy wire edge; beards burnt sienna, tipped violet. 'Dance Away' X 'Nancy Glazier'. Mission Bell 1992.

From AIS Bulletin #284 January 1992 Introducing SPRING CONCERTO (Hamblen '92. TB 34" M-L. Rich bitone. Pinkpurple (RHS 75A) stands, deepening toward hafts. Violet (82B) falls with deeper-toned lacy wire edge. Bushy violet-tipped, burnt sienna beards. Sturdy stalks, well spaced buds. Sdlg. 85-19D: Dance Away X Nancy Glazier. $30.00. Mission Bell.
