'Star Fleet' (Keith Keppel, R. 1992). Seedling# 86-32A. TB, 38" (97 cm). Late midseason bloom. Standards near mulberry purple (M&P 45-J-10); falls near canterbury purple (43-J-12), slightly redder on margins, dark rosy brown (47-E-3) haft suffusion; beards tomato red (3-I-12) to orange vermilion (2-G-12), tipped lavender. Seedling# 81-54A: ((((('Arctic Flame' x ('Rippling Waters' x 'Gypsy Lullaby')) x 'Touché') x (seedling# 65-32A: ('Marquesan Skies' x 'Babbling Brook') x 'Touché')) x 'Firewater') x 'Firewater' x (((B. From AIS Bulletin #289 April 1993 Introducing STAR FLEET (Keppel) TB ML 38" (inv. Arctic Flame, Rippling Waters, Gypsy Lullaby, Touche, Marquesan Skies, Babbling Brook, Firewater, Morning Breeze, Intuition, B. Jones sdlgs. X (Orangerie x Lady Friend)). Shadowy mulberry violet, falls slightly bluer, with rosy brown on shoulders. Blazing tomato red beards. Ruffled and well branched. #86-32A. $35.00. Keith Keppel.
