1969, Plough

'Strange Magic' ( Gordon Plough, R. 1968). Seedling# 64-22-9. TB, 30" (76 cm), Early midseason bloom. Standards French blue (Wilson 43/3) at tips blending to hyacinth (40/2); falls French blue with blended center stripe of hyacinth blue below beard; beard gentian blue (42/1) with frosty tips on each hair, blending to mustard deep in throat. 'Smoke Screen' X 'Soft Sky'. Eden Road 1969. Honorable Mention 1970.
