'Striking' (Joyce Meek, R. 1991). Seedling# 55-1-6. TB, 34" (86 cm). Late midseason bloom. Standards white, heavily stitched orchid; falls white; beards white, tipped coral; lightly ruffled. Seedling# 473-1-3: ('Deanna Darcy' x 'Candace') X 'Lingering Love'. D. & J. Gardens 1991.

From AIS Bulletin #281 April 1991 Introducing STRIKING (J. Meek '91). A very "striking" (hence the name) lightly ruffled reverse amoena plicata. Stds. are white with heavy orchid plicating. Falls are white, and the beards are white tipped coral. Beautiful branching and heavy bud count. 55-1-6: (Deanna Darcy x Candace) X Lingering Love. $25.00. D&J Gardens.
