Standards flax blue, base and midrib flushed hyacinth blue; falls flax blue, hyacinth blue wash extending partway down, gold wash on shoulders; flax blue beard tipped bronze at throat. 'Lilac Mist' X 'Royal Heritage'. Luihn 1975. high Commendation 1973.

From AIS Bulletin #217 April 1975 Introducing STYLE TREND (Luihn '75). Sdlg. #70-4. TB, 36", M-L. Lilac Mist X Royal Heritage. Here is another seedling from a cross of two of our favorite irises, and is similar to its sister, Modernaire, in form and substance, but quite different in color. The standards are a rich shade of flax blue, with the base and midribs flushed a darker shade of hyacinth blue. The wide, nearly horizontal falls are flax blue with a hyacinth blue wash spilling part-way down, accented by a rich gold wash on the shoulders. The flax blue beard is tipped bronze at the throat.
