1991, Mahan

'Suky' (Clarence Mahan, R. 1988). Seedling# 186-1. TB, 37" (94 cm), Early to midseason bloom. Standards white, flushed light violet (RHS 86B) around edge, violet midrib; falls medium to deep violet (83B), very large pure white zonal area extending from hafts to nearly halfway down; white beard, yellow deep in throat; ruffled; pronounced spicy fragrance. 'Violet Miracle' X 'Victoria Falls'. Iris Pond 1991. Honorable Mention 1993; Award of Merit 1995.

From AIS Bulletin #281 April 1991 Introducing SUKY (Mahan '91). Sdlg. 186-1. TB 37" EM. S. white flushed violet around edge, violet midrib; F. violet with large pure white zone extending from hafts to nearly halfway down. Ruffled, pronounced spicy fragrance. Violet Miracle X Victoria Falls. Outstanding growth and increase. Great stalks with 7 to 9 well-placed flowers. Sometimes reblooms here but very late. $35.00. The Iris Pond.
