'Sun Cap' (Clara Rees by Ruth Rees, R. 1971). Seedling# B 22. TB, 38" (97 cm). Midseason to late bloom. Chrome yellow (brighter than HCC 605); Standards ruffled; falls laced; yellow beard. Seedling involving various yellows X 'Rainbow Gold'. Rees Iris 1972.

From AIS Bulletin #205 April 1972 Introducing SUN CAP (Rees). TB. 38". Mid to late. (Parentage involves various yellow seedlings x Rainbow Gold). Brilliant, sunny golden self, heavily laced, this flower has the merit of not burning in our hot California sun, as does practically every other golden yellow we grow. A row of it is like a line of flame in the garden. Net $25.00. Rees Iris Garden.
