From Rainbow Hybridizing Gardens catalog 1964: SUPER FLOUNCE (Austin '63} ML-42". At last a real improvement on marvelous Flounced Marvel. While parentage is different, it has almost exactly the same lusc1ous pink & crimson coloring as shown in color photo of that wondrous vanety. But the flounces are EVEN BIGGER, the largest ever seen in any Iris, measuring up to 2-3/4" across. Pollen abundant & may well be more sought than that of any other variety in this catalog, as it is the highest achievement yet reached in SPACE-AGE Iris. Flounced Spoon X 8207-HfP).
