1963, Austin

'Super Frill' (Lloyd Austin, R. 1963). Seedling# 224. TB, 36" (91 cm). Midseason to late bloom. Color Class W2R. White and light burgundy-russet plicata, doubled frilled flounces. Spooned seedling# 8190 X flounced seedling# 82O9. Rainbow 1964.

From Rainbow Hybridizing Gardens catalog 1965: SUPER FRILL (Austin '64) ML 36". Unique white and light burgundy-russet plicata, with flounces doubled, trebled & highly fringed & frilled--a marvelous advance in this field. Open standards help to disclose the beauty & intricacy of the flower, with 1ts yellow beard and style arms. In color, at left. Spooned Delight X. Flounced Marvel.
