'Surprise Party' (Rudolph Kleinsorge, R. 1955). TB 34-36" Midseason bloom. #V4R. Reverse bicolor. Standards lavender-violet, falls gold, gold haft marks and beard. Seedling# 371E: ( 'Chamois' x 'Cascade Splendor') x 'Opal Cloud'. Cooley 1955. Honorable Mention 1956; Judges' Choice 1957.

The latest one is this new combination of pastel hues: rosy lavender standards and golden apricot falls, a definite contrast of great garden value. Extra well branched stems of 36 inches present the generous-sized, well modeled flowers to best advantage.
