'Tahitian Pearl' (Larry Johnson, R. 2003). Seedling# JO95-35. TB, 37" (94 cm). Midseason bloom. Blackish purple; beards purple. Seedling# JO91-68A: ('Before The Storm' x 'Harlem Hussy') X 'Black Tie Affair'. Cooley, Tall Bearded Iris Society 2003. Honorable Mention 2006.

From AIS Bulletin #329 April 2003 Introducing TAHITIAN PEARL (L Johnson, (03) M. 37". $40.00. Radiant pearlescense of the South Pacific is evident in this sultry black creation. A slight purplish wash in the standards is evident over the inky violet black color. Great form with ruffling. SDLG J095-35. Cooley's Iris Gardens.
